Danie Bester is the producer of more than twenty-five South African feature films including Vir die Voëls, Stroomop, Vir Altyd, Ballade vir ’n Enkeling, Pad na Jou Hart, Hoofmeisie, Bakgat! and Fiela se Kind.
Vir Altyd is, to date, the highest grossing Afrikaans feature film at the South African box-office and was produced by The Film Factory. The company also produced Ouma se Slim Kind, South Africa’s official entry for the 2008 foreign language category of the Academy Awards.
Dries Scholtz, a partner since 2012, co-produced Ek Joke Net and Ek Joke Net 2, Agent 2000 and Jou Romeo with Danie. Dries also produced the multiple award-winning Meerkat Maantuig and the highly anticipated Toorbos with South African producing legend André Scholtz.
