We are proud to announce, that three of our films will make their world premiere at this year’s kykNET Silwerskermfees.

The Film Factory’s Meerkat Maantuig, which will be released on 16 March 2018, will be presented at the Silwerskermfees. This fantasy film, of which was written and directed by Hanneke Schutte, will take viewers on an adventure of a friendship that will warm your heart. Schutte’s directing, as well as the breathtaking Magoebaskloof, compliments the amazing performance of the immaculate cast.

Meerkat Maantuig premiers at the Silwerskermfees on 24 August 2017 at 16:00.

The Film Factory, Bouwer Bosch Films and BennieBoekFilms’ Vuil Wasgoed  that will be released nationwide on 8 December 2017 also premiers at this year’s Silwerskermfees.

The hilarious Bouwer Bosch will leave the audience gasping for air between laughs, whilst the heartthrobs Tim Theron and Nico Panagio will properly turn heads. Bennie Fourie, the award winning writer of the kykNET series Hotel, hits the nail on the head with every written line.

Vuil Wasgoed premiers at the Silwerskermfees on 25 Augustus 2017 at 19:00.

The Film Factory and Red Letter Day Pictures’ Vaselinetjie that will hit the silver screen on 22 September 2017, is also one of the feature films that will be making its debut on the big screen at the Silwerskermfees.

Vaselinetjie, which is based on the award-winning novel (of the same name) written by Anoeschka von Meck, will mesmerise audiences with the exceptional direction from director Corné van Rooyen (from Hollywood in my Huis and Sy Klink Soos Lente fame). The talented young cast in this film is inspiring.

Vaselinetjie premiers at the Silwerskermfees on 26 Augustus 2017 at 16:00.
